Before you read on

How to read this document.

Dear James,

Thank you for trusting us with this. We know it isn't a small thing to hand over photographs of yourself and ask for a straight answer, and we've treated it accordingly.

Two things before you start. First, this is an honest document. Where something is costing you, we say so plainly, because a polite assessment would be a waste of your money. Second, it is written by someone in your corner. Every observation in here exists for one reason only: it points at a move you can make. Nothing is graded, nothing is scored, and nothing in these pages is beyond changing.

You'll find three parts. The read - where you stand today across six areas, including the photographs you'd actually use to date. The protocol - the seven moves we'd make in your position, sequenced so the early wins fund the harder ones. The road - what the next ninety days look like if you run the plan, and what we'd expect you to see in the mirror at each stage.

Most men your age are carrying two or three habits from a life that has ended, and it shows in ways that are entirely fixable. That's the real finding of this assessment: there is less wrong than you think, and more available than you'd guess.

Take an evening with it. Then start with move one.

Part one · The read

Where you're starting from.

Drawn from your questionnaire and the six photographs you sent. We use it to weight the protocol - what moves first, and how hard to push.

Situation

Out of a sixteen-year marriage, roughly fourteen months on. Finding your feet, ready to do something deliberate about it.

Age & frame

44, 5'11", medium build. Carrying more than you'd like through the middle; strong shoulders underneath it.

Timeframe

Nothing on the calendar, but "soon" - you told us you're tired of putting it off. Ninety days is the right horizon.

Weekly time

A couple of hours a week, realistically. The protocol is built to fit that, not an imaginary schedule.

In your own words

"I want to look in the mirror and recognise the man looking back. And I want a photo I'm not embarrassed to put on an app."

Specimen copy - identifying details redacted, photographs withheld. Every client receives this document with their own photography and measurements in place.

Face, skin and hair.

Face & grooming

I / VI
Working in your favour

Strong bone structure through the jaw and brow - the kind that improves as the face leans out. Good symmetry front-on.

Your eyes read warm and direct in the front photograph. That's an asset most men can't buy.

Worth addressing

The beard is doing you no favours at its current length - it blurs the jawline instead of framing it. A short, faded beard with a hard cheek line restores the structure underneath.

Brows and neckline are untended in every photo. Ten minutes a fortnight; disproportionate return.

Skin

II / VI
Working in your favour

No structural issues - no acne scarring, no sun damage beyond the ordinary. Skin this recoverable is the easiest win in the whole assessment.

Worth addressing

The under-eye area is the tell. It reads as tiredness rather than age - texture and shadow that a basic three-step routine visibly improves within six weeks.

General dullness consistent with years of soap-and-water. Entirely reversible.

Hair

III / VI
Working in your favour

You flagged the thinning yourself, and you've caught it early enough that the standard clinical route holds it for the significant majority of men who start now.

Density through the sides and back is full - which keeps every good cut available to you.

Worth addressing

The crown is thinning faster than the hairline, and the current cut - longer on top - is showing it rather than managing it.

This is the one item on the list where the calendar matters. Held now, this is a non-issue in five years. Left two more years, the options narrow. Move one of the protocol for a reason.

Body, wardrobe, and the photos themselves.

Body & bearing

IV / VI
Working in your favour

Broad shoulders and a natural V-taper under the current weight. You're not building a frame - you're uncovering one that exists.

Worth addressing

You told us it slid, and the full-length photo agrees - mostly through the midsection. At your frame, the first stone off is visible in the face within six weeks, before the waistband moves much at all.

Posture in every photo: shoulders rolled forward, head slightly dropped. Costs you an inch of presence. Free to fix, and we address it directly.

Wardrobe

V / VI
Working in your favour

You called it "functional, uninspired" - which means you already know, and there's nothing to unlearn. A short capsule rebuild beats a wardrobe of half-right pieces.

Worth addressing

Everything in the photos is half a size too big - a common holdover from a heavier period, and it adds the weight back visually. Fit is nine-tenths of this entire category.

The palette is fighting your colouring. Eight pieces, correctly cut, replace all of it for under the cost of one designer coat.

The photographs you'd date with

VI / VI
Working in your favour

You sent them, which most men won't. The honest news: the raw material is better than these photos. That's the correct problem to have.

Worth addressing

All four are group shots, indoor light, three-plus years old. On the apps this reads as a man hiding, which is the opposite of the truth.

This is the fastest visible win in the protocol: after moves 1–5 have had eight weeks to land, one hour of proper photography replaces the lot. We sequence it last on purpose - photographing the after, not the before.

Part two · The protocol

Seven moves, in order.

Not four hundred recommendations - the seven that move the needle for you, sequenced by impact against effort. Each one sets up the next. Impact markers refer to the move, never to you.

01

Hold the hairline - clinical consult

A UK online clinic consult (GP-prescribed finasteride and topical minoxidil is the standard, evidence-backed pairing). First because the calendar matters here more than anywhere else - every other move waits patiently; this one doesn't. Fifteen minutes to arrange, then it runs itself.

Impact Effort Low Cost £25–35 / mo Start Week 1
02

The three-step skin routine

Cleanser, retinoid, SPF - morning and night, ninety seconds each. Specific products listed in the appendix note; total under £60 to start. Targets the under-eye tiredness directly. Visible at week six, obvious at week twelve.

Impact Effort Low Cost ~£60 to start Start Week 1
03

The barber reset

One visit, with instructions to take in (written for you, verbatim, in the appendix note): skin fade sides, shorter textured top to manage the crown, beard faded short with a hard cheek line. Then a standing four-week appointment. The single biggest same-day change on this list.

Impact Effort Low Cost £35–50 / visit Start Week 1–2
04

Strength three times a week, protein anchored

A simple push / pull / legs pattern, 40 minutes a session, and one rule at the table: protein first, roughly your bodyweight in grams daily. No cutting phase, no app obsession. At your frame the first visible change lands in the face and collar, not the belt - which is exactly what the week-10 photography needs.

Impact Effort Medium Cost Gym membership Start Week 2

Moves five to seven.

05

The eight-piece capsule

Retire the oversized pieces. Replace with eight items in a corrected palette and - the part that matters - correctly sized, with three of them tailored to fit (£15–20 an alteration; the best-kept secret in menswear). Full list with brands at two budgets in the appendix note.

Impact Effort Medium Cost £400–700 once Start Week 4
06

Stand like you mean it

The rolled shoulders are a desk habit, not an age tax. Two mobility drills, five minutes daily, plus one cue you'll be sick of by week three. Costs nothing, returns an inch of height in every room and every photograph.

Impact Effort Low Cost Nothing Start Week 2
07

The photography session

Week ten, once moves 1–6 have had time to show: one hour with a natural-light photographer (brief provided - candid register, no studio stiffness), in capsule pieces from move five. Replaces every photo you currently use. This is the before-and-after made visible, and the moment the ninety days pays for itself.

Impact Effort Low Cost £120–200 once Start Week 10
The road
Day 30

Haircut and beard landed, skin routine bedded in, first weeks of training done. Friends can't name it, but something reads sharper.

Day 60

Under-eyes visibly recovered, face beginning to lean out, capsule wardrobe in rotation. The mirror is now agreeing with you.

Day 90

New photography in hand - the after, properly documented. Side by side with Plate I, the difference is not subtle.

Part three · The road

Ninety days, week by week.

Built for the two hours a week you actually have. Nothing here relies on willpower - each move is set up, then maintained.

WeeksIn motionThe point
W 1–2Clinic consult · skin routine · barber reset. Order the capsule shortlist.Three same-week wins that cost under two hours combined. Momentum is the product here.
W 2–4Training begins, 3× weekly. Posture drills daily. Protein anchored. The slow compounding starts while the quick wins are still fresh.
W 4–6Capsule arrives; tailoring booked. Second barber visit on the standing appointment.Fit lands before the photography needs it. The mirror starts cooperating.
W 6–8Routine holds. Skin change becomes visible. First re-photograph (your own phone, same window light as Plate I).Proof checkpoint - the before/after habit begins, so progress is evidence, not feeling.
W 8–10Photographer booked and briefed. Haircut timed three days before the session.Logistics for the payoff. Nothing new to sustain.
W 10–12The session, then profile photos replaced wholesale. Final re-photograph beside Plate I–IV.The ninety-day before and after, in your hands. What you do with it is the second act.
If a week goes sideways

The protocol survives missed weeks. Moves 1–3 run themselves once started; move 4 forgives a bad fortnight. The only fixed date is the photography - and it moves if you need it to. Built for a life, not a montage.

Our end of it

You won't recognise your before and after, or your money back.

We stake the programme on the part we control: the visible transformation, documented in photographs. If at day ninety the man in the after photo is not unmistakably a stronger version of the one in the before, you don't pay for the programme.

We don't guarantee dates, matches or a relationship - too much of that is you, and it should be. What we promise is the transformation and the proof of it. The rest is yours to enjoy.

Begin the programme →

Private link, for assessment clients only. Whenever you're ready - this week or in three months. No calls, ever.

If you'd rather run it yourself

Then this document is complete as it stands, and we mean that. Start with move one this week. If you'd like a second read on your new photography at week ten, send it over - that one's on us.

Your photographs

Held encrypted, seen only by your reviewer, and deleted from our systems 60 days after delivery of this report unless you join the programme or ask us to keep them for a re-assessment.

The assessment guarantee

If this document wasn't worth what you paid for it, reply within 14 days of delivery and we'll refund the £129 in full. No questions, no forms.
