Terms of service
Last updated 14 July 2026These terms cover the Second Act written assessment. Second Act is a trading name of Windfall Intelligence Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]). Contact: hello@getsecondact.com. By purchasing an assessment you agree to them; they don’t affect your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
What you're buying
A personal written assessment (typically around ten pages), prepared from the questionnaire you complete and the photographs you send, and personally reviewed and signed off by a person before delivery. Price: £129, paid once, via Stripe. It’s a bespoke document made to your specification - written about you, for you.
Timing
Your assessment is delivered by email within 2–3 working days of us receiving usable photographs. If your photos aren’t assessable (poor light is the usual reason), we’ll ask for a reshoot before starting - the clock starts when usable photos arrive. Because reports are reviewed by hand, we take a limited number each week; if we can’t start yours within the week, we’ll tell you and you can wait or take an immediate full refund.
The 14-day refund
If the assessment isn’t worth what you paid for it, email us within 14 days of deliveryand we’ll refund the £129 in full - no questions, no forms. This sits alongside, and is more generous than, the cancellation rights below.
Cancelling before delivery
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase. As the assessment is a bespoke service, by submitting your photographs you ask us to begin within that period. You can still cancel any time before delivery for a full refund - in practice our refund policy above is broader than the statutory minimum, so you’re covered either way.
What the assessment is, and isn't
- It’s an honest, practical opinion about presentation - grooming, skin, hair, physique, wardrobe and photography - with a prioritised plan.
- It is not medical advice. Where the plan suggests clinical routes (for example hair-loss treatment), the decision and prescription sit with you and a qualified clinician.
- It’s not a dating or matchmaking service, and no outcome with any other person is promised. Results from following the plan depend on you.
Your side of it
- You’re 18 or over, and the photographs you send are of you.
- You’ll send photographs that meet the simple guidance we provide, and respond to reasonable requests (like a reshoot) so we can do the work properly.
Your report
Once delivered, your report is yours to keep and use privately. We retain the underlying formats and templates. We won’t publish your report or your photographs - see the privacy policy for retention and deletion.
The 90-day programme
Assessment clients are sometimes offered a separate 90-day programme inside their report. It’s optional, has its own price and terms (provided with the offer), and nothing about the assessment obliges you to take it.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability where the law says it can’t be limited. Otherwise, our total liability in connection with an assessment is capped at the price you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction - though if you’re a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protections of your local law.
